pulmonary fibrosis

Tuesday 18 November 2003

According to the topography of fibrosis

 bronchiolocentric fibrosis
diffuse pulmonary fibrosis (as in NSIP)
peripheral lobular fibrosis / peripheral lobular fibrosis (as in UIP)
 septal interstitial fibrosis
 pulmonary peribronchovascular fibrosis
 pulmonary peribronchiolar fibrosis
 airway-centered interstitial fibrosis (14707865)
 pulmonary fibrosis with emphysema

Diagnosis

 brochiolocentric fibrosis

  • consider inhalation injoury and airway inflammation
  • inhalation / apsiration : fume or food
  • occupational pneumonia : pneumoconiosis , popcorn lung
  • systemic disease with airway inflammation (IBDs DPB)
  • idiopathic diseases : fibrosis , OB , DPB

 diffuse fibrosis (NSIP)
 periphral lobular fibrosis
