Definition : micropapillary variant ovarian serous borderline tumor.
Ovarian serous borderline tumor, micropapillary variant behaves like low-grade adenocarcinoma. It appears to be derived from serous borderline tumor or adenofibroma. Invasive if destructive infiltrative growth; most are non-invasive.
It recurs as classic serous carcinoma.
Prognosis : 10 year survival is 70% vs. 100% for borderline tumors
